The Construction of the New Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) of Clark International Airport is expected to be operational by mid-2020 as it is now under 95.41% percent completion.
At present, the site preparation works, earth works, foundation and substructure works, superstructure works, hollow core slab and the roof structure and sheeting have been completed.
Ongoing works which are in various stages of completion include the specialist systems and equipment and landside works, ancillary facilities, , and exterior finishes.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Director General Jim C. Sydiongco disclosed that once the project is finished, the new PTB will boost and triple the current passenger capacity from 4.2 million to 12.2 million passengers annually.
The PTB will be connected with a railway system from Tutuban to Clark which will have partial operability by 4th quarter of 2021.
